I've tried using Sure, Degree, Dove, Teen Spirit, Secret, Arrid, as well as a few others. I always get really itchy under my arms and break out where I've applied the deodorant. It's not as bad when I use Teen Spirit, but I still itch after a few hours and it's not really that strong or great smelling. I don't like roll-on's either because I break out horribly with those. Someone told me to try Arm and Hammer, but I'm afraid to switch until I get some feedback. I also haven't tried Ban so don't know if that's also too harsh for my skin. I get sensitive after shaving and I think that's part of why I react so badly. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Try Tom's of Maine Natural Deodorant Stick or Crystal Body Deodorant Stick, they are both made with natural ingredients. If that doesn't work try pure baking soda. If none of those seem to work you may need to see a dermatologist.

Yep, there's an ingredient in most commercial deodorant brands that can be really irritating to sensitive skin, and shaving is making it worse since you're exposing raw skin to harsh chemicals. Try shaving your underarms before going to bed at night and letting them 'heal' overnight before applying deodorant the next day. There are also natural deodorants, like the Tom's brand, that will be less irritating. Finally, if these two ideas don't help, there are crystals that one can buy that you actually press to your underarm area for a few minutes that stops one from sweating there for up to a couple of months.

You can be allergic to certain types of shaving cream, deodorant, and soaps... it's just a matter of finding which ones work for you.

Arm and Hammer is generally pretty mild, as is Tom's if you can find it.

Keep trying different brands until you get one that doesn't make you break out.

I used to be allergic to speed sticks. I am now using deodorant spray. Try that. If the itching and rashes continue, you should go in and see a dermatologist.

There are natural alternatives. Chances are you are allergic to the common ingredient of these deoderants which is chemically formulated and not natural. The other consideration would be botox injections which are now being used to treat sweat issues.

A lot of people are allergic to the aluminum based chemicals, but naturalist stores will sell you herbal deoderants of various fragrance with mineral-salt antiperspirant.

Is it the deoderant or the antipersperant? If it is the deoderant, try a non-scented antipersperant. If it is the antipersperant that is bothering you try only deoderant, or Adidas has out a new deoderant/absorbant (made with cotton fibers). I liked Arm & Hammer, but I'm really trying to stay away from antipersperant. I tried Kiss My Face deoderant and I always felt wet and sticky, but at least I didn't stink. Good luck and feel free to email me if you have questions. I really like the Adidas!

Sorry about your problems! Have you tried a kind of Deo that doesn't stop you sweating but rather absorbs sweat? Bought one years ago in the UK but cant remember the phrase. Transpirant or Deospirant or something like that!

The ingredients are a crystal, again dont know the scientific name. In Tagalog its called Tawas. Its available as a solid crystal and you wet it and rub it underarm. Hope you can find something suitable!

My mom has similar problems and uses Almay (link below).
Also you can try a more natural solution. Maybe Tom's of Maine or the natural salt-based types (link below). My mom uses Almay

All this means is see a Dermatologist...they can probably prescribe a deodorant that wont cause these out breaks or see why they happen at all.

**Good Luck!!!!!
