I believe God always tests us..He expects us to be strong and meet the challenges the devil brings in our way. When you pray ask God for HIS mercy..for He grant mercy on who HE sees fit (Romans 9:8-13) so please do that...also it hurts when you argue because you love him deeply ..its just normal ..Remember God Himself hurts and gets angry...Jesus was Hurt on the cross ..when he wailed GOD why has thou forsaken me !! The great you said is that you get OVER it....that is great don't you think??

God loves us first and foremost. He won't do something ( I believe) if in the long run, it will not benefit us. Keep in mind though, that prayer may take a very long time to answer. If the answer is no, then technically his prayer has been answered. It will be a struggle, you might not understand why the answer was no, but I have no doubt it was for the best and something better will happen.

It hurts so much when you argue because you care for each other and don't want to see the other person in pain ( or at least I assume this). Disagreements cause pain of some kind. Other than forgiving each other ( don't ever forget) I don't know what to tell you.

Best of Luck.

I am a catholic and I answer the Questions your asking...

1. yes, god answers prayers (he answers what is destined for us)

2. No is answer because we always have to say YES to God and since there are those who disrespect his wishes..."no" was made to argue with God...

3. When you follow God...you dont get what you DESIRE he grants what HE desires for you...that's why we live our lives according to his Will...we must follow him...

4. Dont expect anything from God...expect a blessing not a "favor"...doesnt matter if you're religious or not cuz God will grant something for us and we'll never know what it is...

5. The same as we ARGUE with God...it hurts us as much as it hurts him knowing his own creation is shouting and blaming...it hurts because we think about all the negatives about the person or the topic...we argue to prove that we are Right and not them...basically, it's like we're being selfish...think of the other persons opinion first...

.........If you Blame God, is he really the reason for YOUR mistakes? You're doing the crime, not him......

.........We answer YES to God's call, if we answer NO, we're disappointing him more...we're making our future, not him...

It is hard when you're a christian to understand this one. Most christians tend to think that as long as your a christian that everything is going to be great and that we aren't ever going to hurt. I had a pastor tell me one time that we should be careful what we pray for. If we pray to love like Jesus then we need to prepare to have our hearts broken and our feelings hurt ALOT!
The bible does say that if you follow God he will grant you the desires of your heart. If you are truly following God then HIS desires become YOUR desires. I'm not saying that your hunny doesn't desire what God desires for him. Sometimes it's hard to seperate our desires and God's desires for us. We aren't perfect and God doesn't expect us to be. Also, remember Paul? He prayed and prayed for God to remove the "thorn" from his side. God never did, it wasn't his desire for Paul. My preacher has preached on this particular subject a few times within the last year or two. Try remembering this verse in the old testment, it helps me when I get discouraged. "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
I hope this helps!

Yes God does answers prayers. No is probably the best answer God gives. This might surprise you and yet it is true. For remember God knows all things. He knows what is best for us even when we can not see or understand it.
For example, God told me repeatly it was not time to talk to my wife about a certain subject. It was over 12 years before he said it was time and that was after she left and went her own way.
I did not have all the information I needed to talk to her. Now I have and it was very fruitful towards her return to him and understanding why she does some of the things that she has done.
The other thought that comes to my mind about desires not being granted is God is at work to build his character strong and sure. Even good desires can ruin a godly man.
The hurt is because you are tender and vulnerable to your husband. Ground rules are esential in an arguement to avoid the deep hurts that take a work of grace, healing and forgiveness.
The one to consider is to seek out the best for each other. this can quickly put some arguments to rest before they result in a fight. Respect and Listen. Voicing different opinions is good and taking them to pray is even better.
May you find this helpful.

Sorry to hear you guys are going through rough times. Turning to God is always good, but God never promised us "our heart's desire" but he did promise to always be there for us. That means the while life may not always be easy, he will always give us strength to get through it. Also, remember God does sometimes answer prayer with no, but sometimes he may answer with "wait". God always knows what's best for us and always has our best interests at heart, even when we can't understand it. It's like when a small child asks and begs you for candy. Sometimes you have to say "no" because you know if he eats it he may get sick. The child may not understand why you are dening him "his heart's desire" and just think you are being mean. But you know you are doing it for his own good. It's very much the same with God. Hope this helps to answer your question, and don't worry although times may be tuff God will always see you through.

yes it is true that the bible tells us that whatever we ask of god he will give it to us .. but it is not based on if we live right or if we are spiritual ... it is based on faith ..... if you read all of the accounts of jesus healing people and raising people from the dead .... look at his explanation to them .... every single time he told them there faith had made them well or there faith had raised a loved one from death.....not living right or being religious or even being a good person ... all of those things are important yes .... but the scriptures also tell us that god can only work with faith .. that not to have faith in god is a sin ......faith is the confident expectation i n something that has yet to be seen or happen when you have a request before god .. and you praise and worhsip him before hand .. that gets his attention ...... and when you thank god for the things you want .... he gives them to you .... thanking god for something before hand is sort of like signing a contract .. and god is always faithful and always keeps his promise ......... but ... sometimes he does still say no .... because with out limited knowledge and understanding of things ... we cannot see the future... we don;t have the same knowledge of things that god does ... if god does say no to something .. it is becuase he knows that somewhere down the road ..... bad things would have resulted .. he says no as a protection for us ..... but if you want to you can ask god to give you understanding of situations and things that you desire .... he will always give you wisdom and understanding if you ask him.

God will give us what we need and sometimes that is not what we want. Some of my prayers where answered with no and sometimes it took years later for me to understand why. God also intended for us to provide for ourselves and does not do everything for us, several examples in the Bible of this.

Mankind cannot understand God or his intentions sometimes, so we have faith to help us through. His reasons might not be apparent now, but hopefully at some point they become clear.

ok, i'm not going to be rude, only because your question seems sincere.... God answers your prayers when you pray ernestly to him, he grants you blessings often, as long as they dont go against someone else.... for example... you cant pray for someone else's wife.... God also does not grant material wishes, although in the old testament, "blessings" were described as material wealth, the new testament focused in Christ, who asks you to follow his path and lead a humble existance.... Also.... it is believed that often God will grant you not the answer, but the ability to answer your own question, or the means to reach your own goal... for example.... if you ask for wealth.... he may help you achieve an education that can take you there.... but taking it there is up to you (as God helps those who help themselves)... or if you ask to get a promotion, and you dont get it. Maybe he grants you the motivation to say... get a Masters... and get the promotion.... The saying "the Lord works in mysterious ways" is not for naught.... sadly I cant even begin to answer your question here.... you are asking something that could be debated for some time.... but I hope this gives you some insight....

Because quite simply......it isn't just about him.....or about me.........or about you

The role model of Christianity was a servant who suffered much to bring Love, reconciliation and truth to humanity. Good people suffer for many reasons among which the most important may be that suffering teaches you things that nothing else could.....like compassion

The truest desires for mature Christians lay beyond the boundary of their own lives
