Yes. I think you're right. And I think Bush was chosen for his position very craftily. By choosing someone with obvious intelligence lapses, verbal gaffes and apparent lack of intellectual curiosity it satisfies the dummies who comprose about half of the electorate, and it also throws the Democrats, who accuse Bush of both being stupid and being the evil mastermind; this can't be true, so it makes the dems look dumber. And it's a trap they willingly fall into.
The real masterminds are Cheney, Rumsfeld, and a slew of corporate players who remain quietly in the background ...all the Bush Senior's old cohorts. They seized the country in the 80's but had to step aside in the 90's. They hated that, and they came up with a long range plan to turn America into a fear bridled police state where they could rule forever. I would not be surprised if the next presidentials are either cancelled, or if Bush is run again against all constutional rules, and the media and public let them get away with it.
Whatever we have now, it has no similarity to the nation defined in our constitution.

Conspiracy theorists are idiots. No wait, they're all true;
We never landed on the moon.
The CIA assassinated JFK.
George Bush had the levies blown up in New Orleans cause he hates black people.
AND George Bush had Special Forces plant explosives and blow up the WTC.
(WOW, Dubya sure does do get around).
C'mon, he's not an idiot, he graduated from Yale and has an MBA from Harvard Business (which most consider the best business school in the world). Does he make some stupid expressions, yes. Does he misspeak at times, of course. But it'd be interesting to see how many times you misspeak when every single word you say is recorded and analyzed?
Is George Bush the greatest president ever? Of course not. Is he the worst? Not even close. But to call him a puppet of the Pentagon is inane.

At one point you are right. George bush is a puppet. No doubt. But also, the real minds are not in the pentagon, and nowhere near. But when a guy gives you cash to kill someone. The police charge you with the murder, not him. Bush is the one carrying out someone else's orders. So technically, Bush is causing all this.

All of this? Not exactly a question in particular but I do believe you are referring to Iraq. I do blame him for that period. Why did we need to go to Iraq from the get-go? That country hasn't bothered us in 20 years. Yes, he is an evil tyrant but that is Iraq not the USA. He went in without the approval of the United Nations. He went in without the full approval of congress. George Bush does what he wants and we are all paying for his costly mistake. We have Marines that we just deployed involuntarily who have already been there and fought.
Do you remember,"Mission Accomplished?" PLEASE!!!!
911, we should have stayed with trying to find Osma and Bush has our forces so stretched that is why we are making our men and women go back.
He says we are fighting a war on terrorism. Who started it? He terrorized Iraq. We had no business going into Iraq until we had all the information we needed to assess what needed to be done.
Now he is trying to beef up our boarders with higher fences and I would like to know when he will come knocking on our doors to get our old men to go stand watch on the borders because all the rest of our guys are fighting in Irag, and Afghanistan.
He still doesn't know what he is doing and can barely answer questions and when he does it is with the same smug look and sneers he always shows us. YUCKO!

I love all the idiots who spout forth with conspiracy theories which have absolutely NO basis in fact!! I have yet to see one of them, including the responders to this question, offer one scintilla of evidence or any valid sources to support their assertions. Alarmists and fakes are what they are. Uninformed and basically ignorant.
Chow!!

On the basis of the above answers, are the Americans proud or ashamed of having an idiot as their president?

He still is our president, and we did elect him, and everyone else in office, so therefore he needs our support...Because as the saying goes, we are only as strong as our weakest link, and by judging by the answers you and others have received on this topic...we are not very strong!
