I think there are many good teams out there. The Dream Team has succeeded in spreading this "beautiful game" to the world. I am an American and I personally think that the Americans have gotten their act together and have realized that the world takes Basketball seriously. They got the best coach possible (Coach K and the other great college coaches have not lost the love for the game that the NBA coaches have), and the talent of Lebron James, D-Wade and Carmelo Anthony, plus the discipline minds of Shane Battier, Chris Paul and Kirk Hinrich have established arguably the best young American team ever. These players love the game and the coaches appreciate it.
Chance of Winning:
89% - USA
5% - a South American team (aka Argentina)
5% - a European Team (aka Eastern European or Italy)
1% - Every one else

hahaha it looks like mr_loony_toonz is the only one here that watches FIBA or keeps track of it.
The three teams he named are the ones that will probably get first second and third (keyword: probably)
France has a chance (hehe that rhymes) of winning... but the odds are not good (like REALLY NOT GOOD). Tony Parker (one of Frances best) is out because of a broker finger. The good news is that they still have 2 good players and they should get in the top ten. If they win the next game they will be in the top 8. So whoever said that they'd be suprised to see them in the top ten obviously doesn't keep track of it. Hope this puts it in perspective.

U.S.A u butthead(zidane)...with a roster as stacked as theirs no one can stand in they're way...everyone they've played has been mowed down...the U.S.A beat every team by double digits. With Tony Parker nursing his broken finger theres little chance of France getting past the second round....Coach K is too smart and disciplened to let us lose....U>S>A

I assume that you are joking.
Hate to say it, but USA is back and out for blood.
The only team that comes close, Italy, is in their division, so they will be ousted too.
I'd be amazed if France finished in the top ten.
