almost always the repubs are considered the 'racist group'--but now that you mention it, what party undermines 'minority' groups more? dems obviously do not believe minorities are as capable as their white counterparts..........otherwise the dems would stop referring to all minorities as the 'disadvantaged'. How are they 'disadvantaged" if we are giving them racial preferences via affirm action/racial quotas etc? Must be intellectually then, if you ask the dems.........they're race obsessed!

Who's the fool?
"In 1989, he ran as a Republican for a seat representing Metairie in the Louisiana State House of Representatives. He defeated fellow Republican John Treen, the brother of David Treen, the first Republican to be elected governor of Louisiana since Reconstruction, by a narrow margin of 51-49 percent. Duke's victory came despite visits to the district in support of John Treen's candidacy by President George H.W. Bush, former President Ronald Reagan, and other GOP notables.
Challenging Senator J. Bennett Johnston, Jr.
In 1990, Duke challenged incumbent Democratic Senator Bennett Johnston in the open primary as a Republican and received 44 percent of the vote."
But, you're right. Facts mean nothing.
A couple times earlier today you asked reasonable and respectable questions and I gave you reasonable and respectable answers.
That didn't last long, did it?
Fool.

All Far Right nutcases in this country tend to vote Republican, not Democrat. And Aryan Nation group leaders, like David Dukes, run for office on Republican tickets, not Democratic tickets.
Your statement is total BS.

Republicans known to be racist: Trent Lott, George Allen...
plus many older Republicans who were formerly Democrats. These left the Democratic Party in the 1960's when northern Democrats were supporting civil rights for blacks--especially after President Johnson, a Democrat signed the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts. These racists became Republicans, and the Republican party welcomed them.

Are all Republicants racist? no.
Are all Republicants anti-abortion? no
Are all Republicants morons? no
Please stop judging groups as a whole by the actions of their idiotic leaders and a few of their most vocal members.
addendum:
David Duke ran in 1976 as a Democrat, in 1988 as a member of the populist party, in 1989 he ran as a Republican, in 1990 he ran as a Republican, and again in 1996 and 1999 as a Republican. He was (in 1976) a Dixiecrat, most of whom are now Republicans.
