It's not like anyone has not seen a breast before. I mean come on, there was a Carls Junior commercial out with Paris Hilton in it that resembled soft core porn, and people get upset with a qucik boob flash. I think it's ridiculous, what does everyone else think??

I understand that kids were watching the Super Bowl that day, what I don[t understand is how the Power Rangers can beat the crud out of bad guys (promoting fighting) but a half second flash of a woman's bear breast is considered horrifying. I think breasts are symbolic of life, they give newborns the very frist nurishment they need to live. They are not "dirty".

I also think it's ridiculuous. People are way too uptight about things like this. I would rather watch two people having sex than people killing each other any day. It's also ironic that sex is so taboo in public while the US has the biggest porn industry in the world.

Because the Bush administration & FCC were just waiting for an excuse to pound on the broadcast industry. Ever wonder why cable stations don't have to meet the same decency standards as over the air broadcasters? Wanna take a guess at who ponied up alot of campaign money to Republicans in 2000?

i am no prude, and i was rather amused by it. that being said i can understand the uproar. it happened on the biggest TV audience show of the year. it was on live TV. It was obviously planned and staged. it just isnt done on network TV.
there also HAD to be an uproar and fines, to prevent others from doing the same thing to benefit from the publicity. if no big deal had been made, the behavior would be copycatted and eventually escalate into truly disgusting behavior on live TV.
would you be upset if a man flashed his private part on live TV at the superbowl?

because it was prime time television, and many children could and were watching. Is this what we as a nation should teach such impressional minds. AND it is taking place, we as a nation are teaching this to the innocent. Now do you wonder why america is experiencing attack from abroad and natural disasters at a unprecedented level.
Be like the other idiots who with authority say this has happened through out history. May be true but where are those civilizations today? ask yourself

There are a small group of self righteous christians who unfortunately have a voice much louder than their numbers support.
The media was happy to build the controversy because it helped sell commercials and ads.
America needs to get back to serving the people not the media that controls the country.

I think the uproar over it was totally stupid, I think CBS even got fined like $800,000 for it, absurd. The gvt. also put a sheet over the statue of "Liberty" inside the Justice Dept. bldg because it had bare breasts. I will never understand this hatred and loathing of the human body--it is far sicker than the natural human body ever could be.

i think that she deserved to get in trouble..it was a well thought out scheme for publicity and it was cheap and trashy..little kids watch that thing..even my churhc youth group had a big party every year where everyone watched together..so seeing a boob may not be a big deal for us older people or sexually active people but little kids and old people shouldnt have to see it...and trust me it was just a quick second but you could see it very well...there is too much bad **** in this world that little kids have easy access to. ITs the way she and timberlake had it planned out and they knew it was gonna happen when like all the world could see.

A. Maybe because my 5 year daughter was also watching. If I had a disclaimer then that is cool.
B. Her boob popping out was not the worst thing in that performance. It is a football game not a concert.
C. A nice booby it was.

I agree it was a boob. The problem was that people where watching with small children. I think people overreacted it was over in a second.
