for some. for others....(serial killers come to mind.), you'd NEVER guess their story!

A person's facial expression tells a lot about who they are, how confident they are, how shy, how friendly, etc. While all about a person may not show, the face is the first contact that a person has with the outside world and it reveals a good amount of what the person inside is like. Put on a genuine smile - people will see a happy person. A straight face shows a less confident person, a person with low self esteem. A sad face shows a person who possibly worries a lot and ponders over his problems.

Sometimes I think that you can tell if a person has had a hard life or not by looking at their face. Some people just have a happy expression and others just look sad.

How true. For every line, wrinkle, every expression written on the face reflects the kind of life you have had. Whether it's been a comfortable, easy life or whether it's been a struggle and hardship. That's why one tend to say she looks older than her age-when life hasn't been kind to her. Or it could also reflect one's healthy outlook on life.

But seriously, I'd have to say no- you can't judge a book by it's cover so the same would hold true to say, you can't tell a person's past by looking at their face.

I think you can tell alot from people from their face. Wrinkle lines will tell you if they laugh or frown the most. But I don't believe it tells the story of the life. And btw, the eyes can tell you alot.
