Start a rumor that you put out....just kidding, don't do that! Just start meeting new people. Make friends. Even if you make friends with girls, they may be able to introduce you to other guys. If you don't get a date, go the the dance anyway and have fun.

Since this is your first dance you are probably in 7th or 8th grade. I would say just go with a group of friends and have a good time.
