Oh my gosh! When ever people say who is your favorite actor I always say Ed Harris, Samual L. Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones...and people ALWAYS say "wait who was that first guy?" I have to list his movies and say what he looks like (I think sooooo good looking with that chisled scull and piercing eyes). Then they know.
This is silly maybe, but do you think it is because his name is kind of general? It is just a little less common than Ed Smith. It just can't be his acting. He is amazing.

Now that I think about it he is very underated.He did some great films like Places in the Heart and so on..But hardly anybody recognizes his name.This question is one I never thought about.

He is great, that's for sure. I'm not sure whether he's underrated...I think a lot of people appreciate his talent. After all, he keeps getting choice roles.
