7 to 10 days. I just took out my husband's stitches after 12 days. Soak in warm water and only do one cut-before or after the knot. The knot is needed to pull the stitch out. If you kept the area clean and it is healed the stitches will come out easy.

Provided that it was a nice clean cut and it's not infected and it was stitched together nicely with wound edges apposed together, they should be ready to be removed 1 week after they went in.But remember, the tensile strength of a stitched wound is only about 10% of the original after 1 week.

When the doctor tells you to. When you got them they should have said come back in so many days. If you get them out too early, it might break open again. Go to a walk in clinic if your not sure and if they are ready they will take them out for you.

5-8 days. I got stitches on my shoulder. they had to be in longer because I play tennis.
