whats so nasty about "doing it" standing up...
There is a lot more to the movie than one sex scene. It was an alright movie for what it was worth. It hit home more to people who are actually from that area. (I grew up in Detroit). But understand Emenim is a rapper, not an actor so dont expect to much. I'll give it a c+
Definately not a movie for children though

It is an OK movie. Eminem does a pretty good acting job, and I was interested all the way through. Some cliched moments, but I did like the very last scene. I liked it enough to buy it.

8 mile is a fascinating film about the real life of Enimem before he became a famous astrophysist. It tells of his early years when he would walk the tough streets of Detroit attending rap gigs and struggling with difficult theorems about the exitence of negative matter. Following a violent gang shootout, Eminem comes to terms with the notion of black holes and gravity. When his trailer park mother forces him to leave home he faces a life on the streets while he waits for his scholarship from MIT arrives.

Most books give it at least four stars... well-deserved, it's an excellent movie with good acting and a good plot. You won't likely forget this film if you see it. The sequel didn't get nearly the reviews... it averaged just two stars.

i didn't like it. Eminem is a terrible actor, and the story is so obvious and linear. Till the end I waited for something that never happened. There is not a turning point. It is flat.

It was an ok movie. Eminem was shockingly decent (not great.....decent) as an actor. The guy who played Chedder Bob though STOLE every scene, imo. He cracks me up.

EMINEM + MOVIE= TERRIBLE BEYOND REASON!
The acting was bad along with the dumb inspirational element! It was really bad, no where near even mediocre.
