Honestly, in my opinion, when you get home from school you really need a break to unwind and de-stress and relax. You have been working all day at school and you really need time to yourself right when you get home from school. Take some time off, one or two hours and then buckle down and do it. It takes self-discipline to do homework; try to think ahead of how much better prepared you will be and that your assignments will be done and ready on time--this is motivation to get yourself to do it.

Make a Time Table, its a very good thing. Make sure you have at least 2 hours for homework and if you don't do your homework, just punish yourself by not eating dinner that night.
Be honest to yourself and keep homework your first priority

Force yourself to do it as soon as you get home and give yourself a reward when you are done...like talk on the phone, tell yourself you wont call your friends until you are done, or do something nice for yourself after, or give yourself a treat and promise yourself you wont have it until you are done. If you do something for two weeks it becomes a habit. It works for me, good luck!

Write a reminder and put it on the front door. Take the note with you, anlong with your school stuff. Go sit at the main table as soon as you get in, unload your stuff, and get to work. Nothing more or less than forcing yourself to do this will help.

I have that problem too. Just try to set a time each day. Soon it'll become a habit and you won't even have to think about it.

just tell yourself, the sooner you get it done, then you will have the rest of the evening free without anything to do with school! I always tried to get mine done in school or on the way home!

shut off ALL the electricity, so no T.V., radio, or even microwave to heat up food and see how fast you will go upstairs and start your homework.

hope that helps.
