I don't hate rap. Think about the reason why you hate it! Is it the people who are rapping? Is it the beat? Are the lyrics too much/too harsh? I would like to know what you mean by acting like Queen Latifa. I like all kinds of music: rock, blues, jazz, even classical. I grew up listening to hip-hop, R&B, and rap. I don't take to heart anything said in any songs because it is music; not gospel!! You can very well have your own opinion, I hope you don't use too much energy hating something you can very well ignore. Have a great day!

Well I sort of disagree. I wouldn't make a blanket statement like that. I'd say I hate the majority of rap; almost all of it mainstream. But there are some great artists out there who are semifamous, like Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Blackalicious, Dilated Peoples, and many more. They make a far less-pretentious, more socially aware brand of rap that is also more sonically interesting. You should check them out. But if you are referring to 50 Cent, etc., I wholeheartedly agree.

i hate it.
people try to call it music, but its not, its so fake
its people speaking to a flippin beat
and 99% of the time its not meaningful at all, its usually about the hoes some guy had over the night before, and the drugs he dealed to buy his bling....and im not saying all rap is like that, some of it is pretty deep, but the majority of it is ****
i hate it, its unmeaningful and annoying and isnt music

idk everyone has there own style...i agree with u but a lot of people actually like the dumb beat and the words and cussing that you cant even understand...the only reason i hate it is cause i cant understand anything, and i mean anything, the rappers say, cause', THEY SAY IT SOOOO FAST!!!!!!!
