When I was quitting, I had diffuculty getting over my positive "cool" images of smoking. Once I realized that, I started to see smoking differently and it became easier to quit. Also, if you take a more positive outlook on life, it will probably help. Seems to help everything. Try not to hate anyone or be mean to anyone, and watch how your life gets better including the smoking just fading away.

Try acupuncture, most of the smoke comes out through all the little holes. To be serious the way to give up is in your mind - you must really WANT to stop. It is hard to go cold turkey but it is the only way, cutting down never works. I did it 30 years ago and have never smoked a single cigarette from the day I gave up (from two packs a day)

I would recommend going to your Doctor and getting a prescription for Zyban. You will lose all cravings and not even gain weight.
