There is a product from Haverty that has impregnated flannel that retards oxidation-- it does help-- I only do mine maybe once a year-- it all is stored in the flannel-- catalogues sell the things-- zipper bags for trays and serving pieces, even yardgoods-- a catalogue named Home Trends handles the stuff-(www.ShopHomeTrends.com).
If you are using it-- make sure you hand wash asap when using eggs in any form for a meal-- the yolks will tarnish immediately.
good luck

Well, since it's flatware that you'll be eating with instead of displaying, I won't suggest the light film of Alberto V05. I would suggest hunkering down and polishing/cleaning it (NevRDull wadding that comes in a tin can is the best stuff), then keep it in it's wooden chest with a large piece of chalk, which will absorb the sulfur that somehow tarnishes the silver. Too bad we're only "online," I LOVE to polish silver!!!!
