I have a very hilly 15 minute walk into work each morning as there's no company car park and I always end up wearing trousers and boring flat shoes purely because of this. I work in an office and I'd love to look a bit more fashionable and sexier but how can I dress in a better way, particularly with footwear, and still manage to make the journey without getting blisters or falling over in huge heels? I'd love some tips!

Walk to work in comfortable shoes and change into another pair at work... either bring your fancy shoes with you in a bag or rucksack or keep a pair or two in your locker or desk at work.

I had a similar problem (not with the high heels bit though!) when I used to cycle to work... my shoes always got muddy and splashed on rainy days. So I just kept a smart pair at the office!

Walk into work in comfortable shoes and bring a pair with you that you can change into once you get to work. You wont have to worry about getting blisters walking to work and then you can change into more fashionable ones when you get there. Its a win : win situation.

Who said you had to walk in uncomfortable shoes? It's a common practice where I work that people have sneakers with them so they can walk on their breaks and when they're not on a break, they wear their regular heels. So why can't you walk to work in sneakers or other shoes you find comfortable, and change when you get to work? You can stash your walking shoes in or under your desk during the day and you won't be killing yourself either.

Change when you get to work.
If I walk to work, I wear a tee-shirt and trainers, but there's a dress code at work and I sweat a lot. So when I get to work, I have a clean shirt and deodorant in a rucksack and a pair of shoes at my desk. I change in the men's room in the office.

Bring another pair of shoes for the office. Wear the comfy ones for the walk, and then change.

I used to walk to work (20 mins) with trainers on and then change at work - I just left a nice pair of shoes in my locker at work.

Easy girl, pick out the perfect shoes to match your outfit, place in small bag, carry along. Don't hurt your feet, with this walk, dear. Wear sneakers, for the walk save those precious feet! we only get one pair and gotta last whole life! Best of luck to you!
