Yesterday My best friend husband was riding a four wheeler and a cop spotted him and started chasing him down. I am not sure how much or how long he ran from the police, but he has been charged with looting the police. His bail is set at 25,000 and no ten percent. What are the laws for looting the police? How long do you think he will be in jail? Or how much time do you have to serve with that charge?

I am sorry I am only going by what was told to me eluding I guess is the correct way to spell it. And 4 wheelers are not allowed in My neighborhood and beings that he had a 2006 4 wheeler I guess he was trying to out run them.

I believe it was ELUDING the police, which means running from them. Like evading arrest. I am not sure what the laws are where your from but here it wouldn't be that bad. He probably just pissed the cop off and was a smartass when he went to see the judge, that's why he is not able to bond out. He better start kissing some butt.

What is "Looting"? this sounds like eluding the police. Why didn't he just stop! What was he doing wrong? We are not getting the full story here. Why do you need advice, sounds like your friend needs the advice.

I believe you are referring to 'eluding' the police, not looting the police.

I think you mean "eluding" the police, which is basically evading arrest.

Laws vary by state. Check your local listings. Or better yet, have your friend ask his attorney.
