is it just a question of time? when feelings are involved what are the clear indicators?

This is the way I look at it.... If you lust after someone, you could have a sexual encounter with that person and be able to walk away from them with no feelings attached. You can look at that person and honestly say to yourself, i don't love that person and the only thing i like about them is their body and how they can make me feel sexually.
If you love someone, you know that no matter what, you wouldn't leave their side and if it came down to it, you would put your life on the line for them. You know (even if you have to explanation) that you would give anything for that person and there is no other person in this entire world for you but them. And when it comes to the sex, (regardless of any stereotypes their might be about what makes a good lover) it's unbelievable and no one else in the entire universe could complete you and make you feel like them.
Of course, that explanation is meant for the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. I believe that their are different types of love. I would classify what I just said as being "in love".

It ain't too easy but I had a similar problem. I had a girlfriend, which I couldn't be "fukced" to see all the time, just then when I really needed something to penetrate. That is lust-love.
Now I have another girly, and I miss her all the time, eventhough I'm not horney. It's real love. Missing a person when she isn't with you adn thinking about her all the time. Spending time with her, not just for sex, but going out, cinema etc. That you could call love.

Do you want to do anything and everything to make your significant other happy? Do you go out of your way to make him/her smile? Or are they just someone you find sexy? When you love someone you want the best for them. You would be willing to sit by them in the hospital. If you lust for them only, then they could sit in the hospital and you might feel bad, but not feel like you need to be there for them. If you love him/her then you have seen the worst in them and still want to be with them.

Lust is when you are physically attracted to them and basically are in it for the sex. You don't care if the person is smart, if you have common morals, interests or goals. It fades quickly. Love endures the test of time. You care what they say, care how they feel and think. You want to be with them just to be with them, not only for sex.

lust u want them all the time, and then u get tried of them and those heavy feelings leave, love lasts forever, u want them all the time, u think about them all the time. u want to do everything u can for them, to make them happy, and no matter what faults they have, they are the center of your life, because u love them.
