I think that if everyone should have the right to make a choice when they need to. In this situation, the right choice for you might never be an abortion. For someone else, it might be the right choice. I am certainly not pro abortion. I wouldn't picket a hospital encouraging women to abort their fetuses, but I also wouldnt' picket an abortion clinic asking women to keep unwanted pregnancies.

Life is so hard already. If a person truly cannot handle a baby, and knows that enough in her heart to be willing to carry through with an abortion, then what kind of mother would that person be if she was forced to have that baby? What kind of life would that kid have? What about if the mom knew she was going to use drugs and alcohol throughout the pregnancy because she is an addict....and the baby even if given up for adoption, could be damaged from the abuse. Is it better to be born anyway?

I think everyone should have a choice, and we should respect those choices.

I'm totally against abortion. There are only a few instances when it would be acceptable to me. Health or safety reasons (either the mother or the baby), if it was a rape case. Other than those reasons, I could NEVER have an abortion.

That being said however -- I DON'T think there should be a law against it. I think abortion is a moral issue, NOT a legal one. Whether one has an abortion or not should be between the woman, her doctor, and her God. The law, and the rest of society just needs to stay out of it.

well, this is a very political question. i personally could never have one. and criticize the friends ive had in the past for having one, but i do believe it is the individual womans choice. i think if the woman is younger than 16, was raped or cant afford the first 4 kids she's already had should be able to. this is a very touchy topic. i believe each case it extremely different and should be taken into concideration.

now about that lady that drowned her 5 children...she should be punished. i was just watching the news, a katrina family was in one of those small trailers with 6 kids...she had no depression or thoughts on killing her kids...

My cousin had her abortion because she could maintain her sugar or it could have killed her. I don't think anyone has the right to tell anyone what to do with their lives. No one knows another person situtation and reason why they do the things they do. You can only voice your opinion and leave it at that. People are going to do what they want to do. That doesn't make it right and it doesn't make it wrong. It just makes it their choice. So that is why I am pro choice. I personally couldn't go through with having a abortion but I don't have the right to tell anyone else what they should or should not do. I am tired of people shoving that murder thing down people throats. As long as you live by the way you believe don't worry about others. You can't control the whole world.

i think that it is wrong to abort a baby, there are a lot of wonderful people out there that want to be parents that can't by their own means, which means that these women have an option to NOT kill their baby. But in the situation of the HIV, I am not sure, but if the woman was raped and was pregnant as a result of that then I think it should be ok because she did not choose to have sex at that time.

No one has rights to make abortion but depends to the situation of the mother or the parents of the child. My quistion is" how you want him/her to sacrifice? when the she is still in you stomach or after you gave birth and cannot afford to raise the child and cannot give everything he needs. Either you or him will suffer or both of you. The right thing is better to make a plan and make sure you won't get pregnant so you don't need to do the thing you should not and not necessary.

It just goes to show you that the wrong people end up getting pregnant. The ones that actually have a heart and want a child, seem to have the most trouble. *Tsk tsk* Judgement Day is at hand.

Because not everyone believes that a fetus qualifies as a human being, not everyone sees a baby as a blessing, and not everyone attributes all kind of unrealistic thoughts and feelings to a being that most likely is not yet capable of having said thoughts and feelings. Don't want an abortion? Don't have one.

Some people have an abortion because they don't want to let other people find out that they cheated on their husbands/boyfiends. Some people, like Muslims do it becuase of their beliefs, and they believe that the more people they kill, the higher the reward they will get in "heaven". Other people do it because they are insane or have weird hallucinations. And i agree, because no sane mother would kill their baby.
