my boyfriend cheated on me i broke up with him but he doesnt want to and he keeps telling me that hes sorry and that hell never do it again what should i do?

I think that both cheat simply for the "thrill" of getting away with it, being with someone else. It really has nothing to do with wanting a relationship with the other person.
Guys cheat for different reasons than girls.
Women want the feeling of being "wooed" again, feeling like someone is attracted to them, not just obligated like a spouse or boyfriend. Most are usually disappointed because they compare them to their current person.
Guys cheat out of boredom and some genetic need to spread their seed to every woman on the planet to keep their species going.

Why are you questioning what you did, when you know your in the right? Why do us women do that? Is our heads so full of love and emotion and forgiveness that we really are pathetically stupid? I did the same thing and I forgave and he did it again!! He was only sorry because he got caught!! And he was only hanging on because he didn't have (in his mind) the next best thing yet!!! We are so full of this fantasy that we are worth it for them to change, our love is one of a kind and they were stupid and didn't mean it........ PLEASE, we are all replaceable and that is how men see us..... NO don't forgive him, show him you are better and you DEMAND better and you will get it. FROM SOMEONE ELSE!!! Sometimes, I really hate being a woman........... Men have it so much easier and there brains don't care who they hurt, they move on without complications or hurt and destroyed feelings. I am not man bashing......... just setting the facts here, they have the advantage and we have 'break our hearts please' syndrom. blessed be.

hi crystal, unfortunately the truth is .... guys are like that ! and i'm not just saying that. its more to do with biology. in primitive societies, men were always the bread earners.... so to speak. and they were out of the home. so men had more opportunity and more access. women stayed at home and looked after the kids and stuff. it wud really help if u read the book.... WHY MEN DONT LISTEN, AND WHY WOMEN CANT READ MAPS. in todays society, we're more careful with our relationships. so a lot of men wont cheat, while a lot will. if a guy has cheatede on u once, he WILL again. find someone whos more worthy of ur love.

I think you need to decide what to do. figure out if you can handle the pain that can go along with being cheated on and if you think he really means it when he says he won't do it again. If you are going to have problems trusting him i wouldn't go back if you can't trust him it will make the relationship bad for both of you so just figure out in your own heart and mind which way you think you should go.

Have you considered screwing him more often? Not getting any is a primary reason guys cheat. Another is a lack of self control combined with a strong biological need to screw. No contest. Unless he's unsightly and/or anti-social he's gonna go looking for someone else... unless you can keep his attention.

guys cheat because they think the girl that they have now are boring the hell outta them. but i think cheaters are stupid and they never know what they have right now is really precious and can't use the time to treasure it. if he breaks your heart once...he can do it again. my opinion? move on and he will too.
