Nature abhors a vacuum. Consume or be consumed. Competition for a limited supply of anything desired. For every action there is an equal but opposite reaction. Energy always take the line of least resistance. Value is determined by comparison.

Depends, of course, upon which senses of the word 'nature' you are using.

But, generally, a philosophical account of the nature of X is a philosophical theory of X or doctrine of X - in other words, an explanation of X. It might or might not include an analysis of a concept of X.
