and he lost his original boot up disc, can i burn it from his computer and use the copy to boot it up on mine?

how do i go about doing that?

Yep, it can be done. Go to his computer on 'setup' and copy it over to a cd, then simply run it on your computer. But, you have to have that 25 digit keycode to do so.

If you mean that you want to have photoshop 7 from your friends computer. You will need the setup program for it. The cd containing the setup program.
If your friend has copied the setup program to his computer then yes, you can copy the setup program to a cd and use it to install on other computer.

Always install using the CD that comes with the software to ensure integrity of the application.

You need the installation disk with serial numbers. Just copying the program will not do it.

best is to install it from the photoshop installation CD or if you don't have you can download them in any peer to peer file sharing like Limewire, Citrixwire, etc. if lucky, key gen. comes with it.
