Because he has said that Israel should be wiped off the map. How many of you have said to yourselves that this county would be better off if we wiped the Middle East of the Map. Are we all as crazy as he is or are we self righteous. Don’t we all have our own opinion of who is the bad guy and how should we deal with them. I do not promote his behavior but I do not make the mistake of thinking he is crazy, because if he is crazy then so are many of us. Hell I don’t even believe in the death penalty so I surly don’t think wiping out a whole country is right but I think many American do. Who is crazier?

I agree but Americans are lead to believe that he is crazy so that we will support the next invasion of his counrty and I think people need to realize that this is all politics and do not let you emotions support somthing that has nothing to do will you lively hood. We can deal with this guy without waging war on thier counrty

I saw him on 60 Minutes and he seemed very articulate and crafty, but also amenable to reason.

I'm not so sure that Condi and Hadley and other neocon appointees, are smart enough to negotiate with this guy really. But maybe the lower level career diplomats who got their jobs by merit could.

The CBS 60 Minutes video of the interview is on the page below, for anyone who's interested. Just scroll down the line of videos.

You make the same mistake that every person who has an opinion makes: everyone's mentally unbalanced. That's right, I said everyone. Some keep it under their hats better than others. Some jump on couches on talk shows. Some talk openly on worldwide television about wiping out other countries. Some try to invent a better Coca-Cola.

Until people come to terms with the fact that they have at least some insanity in them, we will never be able to understand it enough to use it properly. And that means throwing stones, etc.

Say it: "I'm crazy". "You're crazy". "We're all crazy".

Now, do you still want to trust the same systems of government we have in place around the world? You might want to re-think them.

The president of Iran is a religious zealot. He is not like other presidents. He does not care about money or other riches. He believes that the 12th son of Mohamed is in a well and will come back, just like Christians believe that Christ will come back. However he believes this will only happen after an apoclypse, which he intends to cause. Not only does he want to wipe out Israel, but the United States too. So maybe we should take care of him first.

You make a fantastic point. Are we all people who support Muslim terrorists though? No, I don't think we all are. When someone is a president of a country and he thinks like that then that is considered a true threat, because he could actually do that. Whether they are empty threats no one knows. A normal person who hates the middle east in the United States can't do that since they have no power. This is a very debateable question though...keep doing what you're doing!

I've heard him speak and read some of his works. I think he is very intelligent and of sound mind. Crazy? I don't think so. If he did say that Israel should be wiped off the map, it was probably because of their blatant disregard for the indigenous population that was there (Palestinians) prior to their arrival as well as their continued occupation and suffocation of their fellow Arabs. If I were in his place I most likely would have the same opinion.

Ahmadinejad has ordered the destruction of satellite dishes in his country. He has bankrolled suicide bombers and the "martyrs brigade". He was there when they took US hostages over twenty years ago. He is trying to make a nuclear weapon while stating that Israel must be wiped off the map. He is not trying to make nuclear power. This is an obvious cover as the European nations have offered him a power reactor. Therefore, although he may not be "insane" he comes of as a madman.

I think he is NOT crazy. He is not mad either. He is very much in control of his faculties. And thats what REALLY makes him dangerous.

You dont get to be leader of a nation by being crazy.

We had better not underestimate this man...

I thought the 60 minutes things was a rigged soft ball Mike Wallace puff piece. I also think that there were severely armed men standing behind the cameras just waiting for ol Mike to get out of line.

There's a BIG difference between individuals saying something like that and a country's leader saying that. That's exactly why Iran shouldn't be able to develop nuclear technologies, for any reason. It's totaly inciteful and is irresponsible.

I think him being crazy or not is irrelevant. He's a threat, and threat's must be dealt with.

But I think you're logic is flawed.
Imagine this senario:
An crazy man threatens you with an axe. You have a gun, and considering killing him before he kills you. Does that make you just as crazy as he is? I don't think so.

What scarey is that he's that's nation's leader. When you have political leaders asking for people to commit murder, its always bad.

A lot of us might be crazy but we are not president of a nation. BTW Hitler managed to appear amenable before WW II. The only one he didn't fool was Winston Churchill.
