They like a challenge.

Sometimes I think it has to do with a sort of inner resentment that they aren't the ones who are connected to a man formally - such as being engaged, married, or living with someone. It's almost as though it's their way of making themselves feel superior to other women because of their own flagging ego. They may not even know the man or woman beforehand, but still get a kick out of it, as though they have gotten "over" on someone. I've also known it to be the opposite reason. They want a relationship with a guy who is attached so there are no complications and only want sex without the strings. Either way they have no concerns about hurting anyone, they are ALL about themselves.

The ex-factor is definitely in play with a lot of people. Most couples I know who have gotten divorced had a "thing" either after separation or after being divorced. After getting clear of each other legally, a renewed sexual attraction presents itself and many act on it.

I don't think they always are. In some cases women who seem to be are already in a sexual relationship with boy friends or hubbies and see other husbands or guys as acquaintances, new friends and this it thought by men to be an attraction to them. We men are natural legends of our own minds. But the same situation applies to men. I think your question should be why are men and women more attracted to people who are already taken.
I will never get over people with such sexiest views calling me a redneck:):):) who needs to change.
Your post basically is a (unaware of) last ditch effort to hold the status quo in place in which the woman is still the little woman and dumb founded by your masculine powers, and great personality/looks ect.:):):). It's a brand new world and Mary Lou has grown up dude.

They're more attracted because it's something like a challenge to them. Competing with another woman for a man's affection is their way of saying to themselves: "Let's see if I could get his attention." Honestly, I feel if I can steal a man from his mate, then he wasn't hers in the first place, and I wouldn't want him. Because I feel, if he does it to her, he would do it to me. Besides, if a man's single, we want to know the reason he's single. We don't want what nobody else want. A couple shouldn't worry about this, b/c if he decides to "walk", going to the other woman, let him. God created too many fine intelligent species called men to be depressed about one. But if he stands his ground, be proud b/c that just let's u know that u have something worth having and showing off.

We don't ALL want guys who are taken, but when we do, it's normally because the guy is either 1) really good to his girl and we want to be treated that way or 2) a really bad boy and we want someone dirty. In case #2, we can usually get him.

IT'S NOT THAT THEY ARE MORE ATTRACTED...THEY ENJOY BEING THE OTHER WOMAN , AND THE DIRTY LITTLE SECRET , AND THE HOME WRECKER !....Because even though they hate it being done to them , Women love to break people up , And are as big a bunch a cheaters , IF NOT MORE SO , then men.....there are very few women who have never cheated on their spouse , boyfriend , or significant other , they just DONT GET CAUGHT at it as much as men do....

I think it's partly the challenge, and for some girls it's because they know they will never be with him so they can't get hurt by him. Chasing after someone you know you can't have gives you something to dream about something to pursue, without the risk.

Only the immature ones are - if they act on it by pursuing a 'taken' man. No one can help who they are attracted to, but we are responsible for & can control our actions.

Cause those dudes are usually the only dudes not interested in them.

Because if they are taken, there must be something about them that makes them worth having around. That, and feminine competition.

Because they're more desirable. If another girl wants a guy then he must be worth the chase.
