According to Fair Isaacsson (the people who control modeling) the median score is 720.
The advertising you see on the internet is to make people feel good about themselves.
Your score is a little above median. Which means you're in the best possible category. Yes, credit is worth stressing over. But you're already there. So long as you stay where you are, you're fine.

Your 730 middle score is considered above average and you should have no problems in attaining financing. Keep your balances low, available credit limit high, and make payments on time - your score will rise. 850 is supposedly the highest score. I have seen 815 before but it is rare. You are doing an awesome job. Keep it up.

That's very good; the typical range is between 375 and 900. It is calculated from information off your credit report, based on your payment history, amount currently owed, length of credit history, amount of new credit (how many new accounts you've opened) and your overall credit mix (the balance of types of credit that you have had), often using the Fair Isaac & Co. (FICO) calculation. Average is usually agreed to be around 680, so your is above average. Some ways to improve your credit further:
Pay your bills on time.
Pay down your debt.
Check your credit report and correct any inaccurate items.
Limit how frequently you apply for new credit and how much you charge on existing credit.
Don’t close old accounts – this can shorten the length of your reported credit history.

credit score of 730 is good. My credit score is higher than your score. If you want your score higher you need to work on it.

730 is on the good side, although it's not excellent. You shouldn't have trouble getting mortgages, etc.
