did nfl player gary anderson kick the football with his barefoot if not who did?

I don't think Gary Anderson did, but I know Tony Franklin and Paul McFadden both did. They both played for the Eagles in the 70s & 80s

I don't think he ever did. But those who have cite better control over the contact between their foot and the ball as the reason. In the 1970s and 1980s, the Philadelphia Eagles had two placekickers who kicked barefoot: Tony Franklin and Paul McFadden. (The NFL rules stipulate that a kicker has to at least wear two socks. Barefoot kickers had one of the socks cut off so that they resembled tubes.)

Also, John Goodson, the Steelers punter in 1982 when he filled in for the injured Craig Colquitt, was a barefoot punter. In the cold of the 1982 Playoffs at 3 Rivers, he shanked a critical punt that allowed the Chargers to come back in the 4th quarter.

well i am quit sure gay anderson did, some kick with a special cleate that is flat on the front(toes) and i believe morton anderson had on of those, used to be several who kicked barefooted, Grogan for the Pats in the 70's and 80's did but he didnt kick all the time, he was a QB and a Punter..haha

I don't recall Anderson kicking barefoot, but there have been guys who did. Rich Karlis and Tony Franklin were probably the most successful.
