As a person whos 88 year old father just passed away i can honestly say life is too short my father was a poet and a airplane pilot and constantly full of laughs and stories.until his last year when his health became so bad i just kept thinking during that time that his mind and heart still had so much to offer us all but his body couldnt go on.yes life is to short but maybe only for those of us who really embrace it and live.for those people i cant imagine 500 years being enough some people are never bored because they are constantly trying to learn new stuff and really could you ever run out of stuff to learn?not me oil painting all kinds of music, then id learn how to play all musical instruments, travel to every country, learn to drive every thing that has a motor, mix every drink in the bartenders bible ,go to school graduate write some books, cook every dish known and then invent some.swim with dolphins, manatees and if you give me a cage id swim with sharks.then id start my own wildlife refuge and on my vacations probly hit every casino within my budget.I dont think id every run out of stuff to do.Just think of all the crafts i could do?All the people I could help and get to know in that time? All the books i wish i could read? Life Is Too Short

You lack the most important thing in your life and thats by asking Jesus Christ into your life and if you are sincere, you will be filled with the Holy Spirit and you would be working for God right now, as there are so many people out there who need Christ in their lives. Spiritually speaking life is too short, but you need to be saved and live for eternity and spread this message to everyone you can. Because, Christ is coming back soon and everything that is happening on this planet now was prophesied in the Bible.
Look at the world today, everything is becoming corrupted. Christianity is not a religion, it's a way of life. Once you have turned your life over to God, everything will become clearer to you, and I promise you, nobody or nothing will prevent you from denying your Faith. He is a wonderful Saviour and He wants us all to be saved and be given Eternal Life, In Heaven with Him.
I was in the Army, but also during civilian life I have had a few near death experiences, and I can honestly say, there is no such thing as an atheist, because if you are in a near death experience, who do people call upon?.......God of course. Their are so many Christian websites and helplines. God is real because I am here today answering your question, I only hope you find a life in Christ, there will be prayer going up for you from now on.

People say that life is too short....
Me on the other hand...I think life might be too long....
Nevermind 500 years!
How much can you physically and mentally take before you break or become cynical about life???
Haha I would be a lazy bastard if i had 500 years.....I'll have lots of time to mow the lawn...I'll do it tomorrow....

I agree with the dog. Plus life woulfd be really booring after you've done everything! but currently life is too short-apparanely after the early people of Noah and the such-God saw that his people were living too long on earth so gradually decreased their life span-Noah lived 900 years!!! whilst people these days reach only about 80, unfair huh?

500 years would be too long and we would take life for granted and not appreciate it as much . One of the things about life is living it to the full , while you can and within the time span you're meant to be on this earth.

Yes, life is far too short, but if the norm was 500 we would still want more.
It is the nature of humans.

...then majority of us would watch 425 more years TV or waste it in some other way. And complain that life is too short all the time.
