I've always believed that the entire point of being a prisoner is that you relinquish your rights. If you do not abide by the responsibilities of living under he rule of law, then you do not merit the rights. Rights are not free.

Yes, and we should make it easy for them to do it. The vast majority of prisoners will one day be released from custody. It's in all of our best interests for them to return to as stable a life as possible.

I think prisoners should lose all of their rights except for food, shelter, & safety. Somewhere along the line we have lost sight of who should be punished & who should be rewarded in our society.

No, they must've done something terrible outside of jail and prison is just a place to contain them not a wedding palace.
