i cannot find the ballast resistor on my 69 longbed chevy 350

Chevrolet,s don't have a ballast resistor on them,,if someone told you that it did they were mistaken,,they do have resistance wire built in to the main wiring,,but this never gives any trouble,,if your having some kind of trouble ,,i can assure you it don't have a ballast resistor on it,,i own a repair shop in Tennessee,,and i own 3 Chevy's,,i hope this help,s,,i do it for a living 6 days a week,,good luck with it.

Wow that resister on my 1970 Chevy short bed six cyl three speed was in my dreams It might of had the same problem as yours. I could stand corrected maby if there statements are true the nickle chrome wire from the ingnition switch has failed on your truck the wire is the resistor. So now you run a new start run wire from the switch thru a new ballast resistor placed any where you want then a wire from the resistor to the coil + side

1969 Chevy does not have a ballast resistor.
