Before the third store, he had $20 ($10 and half).

So, before the second store, he had $60 (gave $30 and $10)

So, at the beginning, he had $140 (spent $70 and $10 at 1st store)

he needs to quit shopping. $140
work your way up from 0.
X - 10 = 0; X = 10
X/2 = 10; X=20
20 + 10 = 30
30 * 2 = 60
60 + 10 = 70
70 * 2 = 140

$140 Man, he better go back to school and get a job that pays
better. Unless he gets paid daily, his job is impossible.
Figuring he works full-time (40 hours/wk), and makes minimum wage ($5.15), he would make $206.00 gross. Even with deductions he should clear more than $140. They are deducting nearly 1/3 of his check.

It doesn't really matter how much it was, because he spent all of it, plus an extra 50% and $30 more dollars to boot! I hope he's got a capital one card!

140..

140 - (.5 X 140) - 10 = 60
60 - (.5 X 60) - 10 = 20
20 - (.5 X 20) - 10 = 0
