You could use a VOIP service, like Skype. Easy and much cheaper. There are other companies (including Google, Microsoft and Yahoo) who offer almost identical services, but Skype is the most prevalent.

Go to Skype.com, go to the "Skypeout" section, pay 10 Euros into it with your credit card and you can then talk to a UK landline for 10 hours. I do it myself: it's unbeatable!!

If you can call Internationally from your home phone, just hook up a line to your modem and then use a dialing program.
