Who do people on here..........?

ask questions that they could very easily find the answers to themselves on the internet? are they just lazy or not smart enough to figure that out?

They want others to solve their problems. Yeah you can google about 99% of the questions people ask.

It might be that they like losing only two points because you get eight back after the initial 10 to ask when you resolve the question? Or what you might want to do is give them the keywords and tell them to run a search themselves. I have done that myself. I also like to do mapquest when driving directions are asked just to see where their going. I have a life somewhere, but I think its lost beneath the streets of boston like Tom Dooley.

Boredom and curiosity could be reasons people choose to ask questions instead of looking for the answers themselves. I know sheer boredom is what keeps me coming back.

their asking stupid questions just to get the extra points for asking the questions. Either that or they are just to lazy to find out themselves. After all I answer this question, so thanks for the points, LOL

This is more like a forum than an answers site. Most questions are made to provoke conversation and/or stir the pot.

I search the internet for facts but sometimes other people's opinions and interpretations are just as important.

I guess they like the interaction with other Yahoo! Answers users.
I would rather look for it myself. I ask more polls and trivia questions.
