Princewarrior, I would say bin man. A.k.a garbage collector.
I had to become a bin man, because I dropped out of college early, took too many drugs and flunked.
I used to hate it. Anyway, there was this hot chick that I really liked at college, we used to exchange sexy glances in the corridor as we passed...Like ships in the night, but with ti*ts.
I was collecting the bins one day, and low and behold, who walks out of the house i am collecting from? Her....
She pointed at me in my smelly overalls and laughed, like a maniac, and called me a jippo. I was heart broken to such a point that I threw myself into the compactor at the back of the garbage truck...
I lost both arms....
I typed this answer with my toes.....

I think the MOST pathetic occupation would be the people who have to scrape gum offa sidewalks. But then there is always, people who make a living off of selling drugs and prostituting themselves out. Can you imagine ever being so low that you had no other choice but to go against your own morals and standards to eat?

A prostitute and a pharmaceutical representative are one in the same thing. The most pathetic occupation in my opinion is toll booth attendant.

Working on a low-paying job for the government in a 3rd world country and still having to pay taxes from the meagre pay, which then goes into the salary of the overpaid boss(es).

crossing guard. first of all they only get paid 5.15 an hour. second of all its only for three hours a day third of all it takes you all day to earn that small amount of pay. every hour or so your either going to work or heading home from work with maybe an hour in between times.

Well, there is a job where the road crews have to scrap off the bird crap off of the bridges before they are painted. I don't know the official title to it, but that is one pathetic job!
