This answer really does totally depend on your area. You'll hear rants and raves about all the companies depending on who has the best towers where, so you'd really have to be specific. Around my area the best are T-Mobile with Verizon running a close second (with good signal but crappy service). It's almost better to see who has the kind of services you want for what you'd like to pay, such as, T-mo and Cingular use sim cards, so it's easy to change phones, while with many others you're stuck with the one you buy. Good luck.

The answer to this question is best achieved by running a search on Yahoo or Google. Take the appropriate key words (with extras like "in", "and", "to", etc) and enter them into the search field. My experience has been that you'll usually get exactly what you're looking for in the first 1-3 pages of your search.

Go to cellreception.com to see which companies have towers in you area. They will have It displayed on a map for you. As long as you have at least 1 in the map, you should be ok.(i'd recomend at least 2 though, just to be sure...)
