The left is always rushing to tell us that the Founding Father of America were not Christians...far from it they tell us. To suggest otherwise will hurl them into a level 5 Panty-Wad with Neck Veins popping like a well worn garden hose...right?

until we talk of legal slavery in America..

Suddenly...they put these makers of laws, these Founding Fathers through an evolution that would make Charlie Darwin cringe!!!! NOW..they are neo-right wing Republican Christians who enslaved the Africans..how very conveniet of them. Even the liberal hero Thomas Jefferson (owner of over 100 slaves) is abandon and no father of theirs they say!

ever notice?

Yes, then they totally ignore that it was the Right wing Christian activist movement that freed the slaves here in America and around the world.

And when they are confronted with it they always say, "Well I didn`t say that or we didn`t say that or I`ve never heard that as if we are making it up."

Then they Blame Christians for all the evils and site separation of church and state as if it was meant to prevent the state from even speaking the word God. Even though the founders were all about God and chiseled it into every building and monument in Washington. The separation of church and state the liberals always hold up was only meant to prevent another Church of England. Not to silence Christians and make them go away.

The Republican party was a new Christian Activist party whose founding principals were the freeing of the slaves. The party of Lincoln. At the same time the KKK was the terrorist wing of the Democrat party and continued the subjugation of former slaves for 100 years. Making the South "solid South" a Democrat political strong hold by preventing the former slaves from voting.

No I've never noticed that.

They were Unitarians at best. It's a proven fact that Jefferson and Franklin doubted the divinity of Christ. They thought he was a nifty teacher and philosopher, but they didn't think he was the son of God. Adams signed the treaty with the Berbers that said: "America is in no way a Christian nation". It was passed unanimously by the Senate - making it US Law.

And were they flawed? Yeah. Doesn't make them evil. Slavery as an institution is evil. The people who partook in it are inherently evil. It's a shame that they couldn't have recognized how wrong it was. But, like all human beings and most great human beings, they were flawed.

Not everything is two-sided and reasonable people see the middle. Clearly, the people you complain about - and YOU - cannot find that reasonable middle.

I don't think that very many, if any, liberals would argue that the founding fathers were Christians. I would argue that they did not mix their religion with their politics, which is something that happens way too often today. They were smart enough to see the dangers of creating a religious state.

Do you have a clue as to why the founding fathers wanted to come to Ameirca? Do ya think just maybe they were tired of religious persecution in England? The same religious persecution that is rearing its ugly head again in Ameirca. Ever hear of seperation of church and state? Funny, right wing christians have no clue what that is.

Don't get your panties in a wad.
First read about Voltaire and the age of enlightenment, then read about the history of the freemasons, and THEN read about the founding fathers. And then, I think you can argue with them about the religion of the founding fathers and back up your arguments with facts.

Ever notice how conservatives like to lump liberals into one category and speak for all of them?

Nonsense. Don't know what liberals you've been talking to. I suspect you might be telling fibs.
