You do have to meet certain criteria, but in the end it is worth it. I went from a double I (yes, 2 i's), to a C. I can now wear sport bras and not have to go to a specialty store. When I first went in to be evaluated, the doctor didn't believe that I was big. I hid it well in a 48 DDD bra and a huge sweatshirt. In fact, I was supposed to be wearing a 42 II. I have been very happy. I can now buy the $10.00 bras in the pretty colors instead of the awful white straight jackets.
Because I was so big, my scar starts almost under my shoulder blade and goes to the middle of my chest. There is a one inch space and then the other side starts. The upwards scar does in fact look like a lollipop. I was first told that I would have to have my nipples removed and I would never breast feed (no big deal for me there). The nipple removing was a huge deal for me. I really had to think about that. In the end, I went and had it done and they didn't have to remove them. All in all, the doctors took out 4.5lbs. on the right and 3.75lbs. on the left. I no longer have the ridges on my shoulders and I can lay on my back and breathe.
I hope that helps.

I just had a breast reduction done on July 17th.
What they do is they make an inscion along the underside of your breast and then make what is called a keyhole inscion commin up from the bottom and around the nipple. They then remove extra tissue and close you up. In the end you will have a half-moon scar along the underside of your breast and what I called a lolipop scar. Its a vertical scar comming up from the underside of your breast and then around your nipples. You might want to check out some websites, just google breast reduction, to get some pictures of what the scars really look like.
If you want to know more about my expereince with the surgery, feel free to IM me. Im moving into my dorm today, and wont have internet for a few days, but I promise to respond as soon as I can.

I know two women who had this procedure done and were extremely pleased with the results.
It is not like you go from a triple E to an A or anything. The decision of how much is removed is between you and your physician.
My one friend is still more than ample. She was having extreme back pain and literally had ruts in her shoulders from her bra straps. She also had problems sleeping at night.
I believe the only concern is if you have any interest in breast feeding any children you might have. The surgery will alter that.
I would talk to a couple of physicians and also people who have had the procedure.
best,
cez

I had a breast reduction 3 years ago. It was the best thing I have ever done. I was cut from side to side and up the center of the breast and my nipples were moved. I was very large and now I am a C cup. My scars aren't that bad, and my boobs are perfect!
I understand that in some cases the Dr can do lipo and not cut so much. I guess it depends on your size and what size you want to be.

I had a breast reduction last year from a DD to a C. It was the best thing I've ever did. My back don't hurt and my breast is perky!!! My husband loves it. I can fit into clothes that I couldn't before. I had a grreat doctor. I can barely see my scars. I had no pain. Only pain I had was back cramps because me body was adjusting to being straight. There are so many websites out there, just check it out. The key think is find a good doctor. Check his background. Nurses are a good source, they will tell you which doctor's are good and has great bedside manners. Goodluck. Do it for yourself and for no one else.

Get Breast Reduction in India.Cosmetic and dental Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges breast reduction surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.
I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as breast reduction surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your breast reduction surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
my cousin got breast reduction surgery procedures in India like the facelift, liposuction,Breast Augmentation, Breast Enhancement through the forerunners healthcare.she is more than very happy with the results.she just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.i personally have seen the wondeful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company.

Please. I beg of you not to undergo breast reduction.
You know better than me that breasts are the asset of a woman. The larger the breasts, the more womanly you are.
If you feel the shape and orientation of your breasts is not to your expectation, then do breast enhancing exercises instead.
Good luck.

I will be undergoing this procedure........
Breast tissure and hard cyst areas will be removed, the nipple is moved and in my case made smaller (almost like a skin graft).
When healed, my breasts will be smaller firmer and higher!!

i wanted to get one as well but then decided that God made me this way...so why mess with it. although it would be much easier to find clothes, bras and all those things. and they take tissue out of the underside of your breasts....which is how they get them smaller. i went to a doctor about this at one point so i got it explained to me. you have to meet certain criteria to get the operation done.
