The fish population is smaller than the amount of water in the ocean. So it is possible for them to survive. Although you make a great point about over population in our human world. It has happened time and again. We as humans still haven't learned from our mistakes. We must recycle, we must dispose of things in a proper manner, we cannot waist and we shouldn't reproduce like bunnies. We will damage our world to the point that we will hurt or kill our selves. It is our nature to be dumb in this area. We try to keep everyone alive as long as possible no matter what the repercussions are to our society/eco system. You are on to something.

They poop and then swim away to an area where there is no fish poop!! That way they can get their business done without living with the consequences.

I know there a lot of fish in the sea ( no pun intended ) but do you have any idea how large the ocean / seas are? Fish poop is not a problem.
LOL

larger body of water and some other fish eat it....yeah, if we pooped in the air we'd eventually die if it didn't decay and stayed in the air but unless we lose gravity somehow it won't happen....hey, why not worry about something real...

That is what our friendly little single celled organisims are for and bacteria eat too! Everythng eats everything else. It s a cool little system!
That's why I hate it when people say things like " I hate flies I wish they would all die." Those people are idiots and should die themselves so the flies would have something to eat.

The poo gets eaten by bacteria and invertebrates and plants; such life forms that eat other life forms' waste are called decomposers. And in turn, the fish probably eat them.
