in between a book

The heavy book ideas work for many flowers because they do not have the bulk that roses have. I suggest that you get a couple of short pieces of sturdy wood...2X6 or 2X8 and a couple of heavy "C" clamps and place the roses in between two pieces of heavy Kraft paper (brown with no wax or other coating) then situate the roses between the wood pieces and set the clamps and increase the pressure every couple of days for a month or so. Keep the press in a cool dry place.

Remember and enjoy!!

I can help you with this one, find you a nice thick book and place the rose in the center of the book.
But first you may want to use some cookie sheet paper to protect the book and the rose.
Try this I am sure it will work

Actually, to save roses, I suggest using a clear lacquer and preserve them in 3 dimensions vs. 2

I hang mine upside down tied together in a dark area of my apartment (closet or under a sink). After about a week I spray them with a dried flower spray and put them in a vase. Then evey now and then I re spray and its nice to look at them and remember the day they were given to me.

..exactly what they said..i put mine in the back of a very heavy book for days. Leave the flower/flowers in it long enough for it to totally dry. It usually turns out pretty and you can take it out and put it in a scrapbook or whatever.

put it in a book with wax paper around it
then put as much weight on top of the book as you can
then leave it alone for a week or so

roses are hard to do thou - because they are so thick

Yeap, in between a really thick book. It helps to stack other things on that book as well.
