No, I don't think so. There have been plenty worse - and sorry if I upset a few people here, because I do understand the reasoning behind the design - but I still think that they look so silly - the SMART car!
I can't imagine driving along the road and having a car behind me where the back seat should be!

I disagree. My last car was a Vectra. Automatic transmission, Black, and it had all the electrics, cd player and aircon and a nice 2 litre engine. Lots of luxury, the way I like it.
It moved like greased lightning too. And it took corners that caused other cars to get upset. All the people I knew were really envious of me.

No there was a worse one - also a vauxhall though - they called it a chevette - it was more commonly known as a 'shove it'.
When travelling at more than 50mph the roof rippled and sounded very much like Rolf Harris's wobble board.

The car your thinking of (no reverse etc) was an Isetta Bubble car - Meschershmitt also made a very similar car. They have models of them for sale on ebay should you wish to look at one.

Perhaps you have listened to Mr Clarkson a little two often. Its not a design classic but often a bad ride is better than a long walk.Regards Mick

I disagree. I believe the worst design may very well have been Trabant's decision to make the body of their car from the same stuff they use to make paper milk cartons.

If you think that, you've obviously never seen, heard or smelled a Trabant, the old East German vehicle.
