jim-yes the Republicas and Democrats are both corrupt, but there are other political parties out there. Check out the Libertarian party for example. Half my reason for asking this question was to see how many Libertarians there are. :)

I don't associate with any primarily. My voting record is equally Democratic and Republican, because I feel that both have valuable insight to bring to the government, both state and federal level.
The Democrats want to take care of everyone, which is wonderful. The Republicans want to make people take care of themselves. Both are noble, both are right.
We need to find a fair balance between the two...which is why I don't associate primarily with either.

Oh, and for the record, as of right now I have two thumbs-up, and one thumbs-down. By the time this question ends, I'll have at least seven thumbs-down. I pissed off a group of "Democrats" (they don't really deserve to be associated with that party), and so they're following me around to all my answers and giving them thumbs-down.

Edit: What did I say? Children. They don't deserve to be associated with the same party that gave us FDR.

I'm registered as a Republican, but I'm displeased with the direction the party has gone. They used to stand for limited, accountable government, as well as law and order, but now that they control everything, that all seems to have gone out the window. I'm currently reevaluating my political affiliation, thinking that maybe I belong in the Libertarian or Constitution party instead.

The Democratic party because I agree with them more on the issues that are close to me, such as health care and issues regarding the elderly and the poor. I also believe they are the better party for the working class.

For me, I'm a registered Republican. I'm not COMPLETELY right winged, but I agree with the majority of their issues and decisions. Basic reason I'm with that party is because, I'm pro-life and anti-gay. I don't hate gays by any means, I just dont agree with the lifestyle, and many democrats are on their side. Like another person above me said, I too like President Bush.

Green. But not the wimpy-butt American version. German version circa. 1968. That's when I left the Democratic party.
