that depends on your body....
if you're a regular 28 days, you'll be ovulating at 14 days (that would be 14 days before your next period which is when everyone ovulates....14 days before next period)
If you're not, than you can get pregnant even when you're on your period (cuz you can still ovulate when you're on or around the time of your period).
A week before & a week after ovulation is a good time (best chances are probably within 5 days of ovulation though).
good luck!

It depends on how long your cycle is.
If your cycle is 28 days, then you can get pregnant on day 14. However if your cycle is 24 days, you don't get pregnant on day 12, but instead on day 10. It's usually 2 weeks before you next period starts. Make since?
But either girl or boy sperm live longer than the other (can't remember). So for instance if it's the girl sperm that live longer, if you have sex a few days before ovulation, you are more likely to have a girl.

This is how you do it, figure out when you should start your next period, count back 14 days, thats the time you are "most Likely" to get pregnant. However, don't trust this completely, you can get pregnant other times of the month, this is just the easiest time.

There's a chance of pregnancy at any time of your cycle, depending on when you ovulate, even during your period. Don't count only being fertile on certain days. While most women are most likely to become pregnant mid-way through their cycle, don't count on this to prevent pregnancy. Always use protection, all throughout the month.

You should start by not wanting to get pregnant, just have sex everyday or every other day and don't think about getting pregnant, just have fun with your partner.
after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout,even if its just a 30 minute walk a day,be active!!

If you don't want to get pregnant, use contraception other than Rythm (or timing of your period) it is very reliable as a means to prevent pregnancy. I don't know the percentage numbers... but, you could get pregnant at almost any time... so I am told.
