my car does not have a glove box, it has a little cubby hole there instead.
but that is where it gets it name from, gentlemen would have driving gloves, and car would mostly be open so they would need somewhere to keep their gloves, i'm talking about the time of the model t ford, and b4 women's lib 2

I have CDs, a bag of crisps and breakdown cover documentation - no gloves though.

i think i am one of the rare ones who do !
simply coz mines a diesel car and the diesel smell wont go off my hands after I've fuelled the car so have to keep some disposable ones :)
