Nothing happens to Pluto if some one on Earth makes some decisions, calls it a planet or a dwarf. Its still out there as always, and it doesn't care what humans think about it.

As I watched the news last night, I was awed when reporter talked about omitting Pluto from the original 9. Wow, now Pluto is only a "dwarf planet" not large enough to be classified as a planet. You know, we could have all been satisfied with leaving it just where it was, scientists, astrologers, etc..could have just kept their big mouths shut! The general public didn't need to know this. Now all elementary science book are out of date, all eduacational facilities, museums, etc..They have to take Pluto out of the picture..I think this is just a way for someone to make some money. Think about it!!

apparently somebody else found what was considered a big chunk of rock out in space that was bigger than Pluto. then others said that there are around 50 chunks of rock that are larger than Pluto. so it was either make it 8 or 60. the scientists also can't come up with a concrete answer on "what is a planet?"

Pluto is automatically disqualified because its oblong orbit overlaps with Neptune's.
Instead, it will be reclassified in a new category of "dwarf planets," similar to what long have been termed "minor planets." The definition also lays out a third class of lesser objects that orbit the sun — "small solar system bodies," a term that will apply to numerous asteroids, comets and other natural satellites.
Experts said there could be dozens of dwarf planets catalogued across the solar system in the next few years.

Scientists want to change things around. The astrologers say that those who rely on the zodiac, should still factor in Pluto. I personally will not delete Pluto from my daily astrological strategy. I won't quickly delete something without real basis for such a determination. I will let God show me the way. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

The body discovered by Percival Lowell that we call Pluto will always be there. It is just not called a planet anymore.
