I believe our memories are with our 'souls' after death in the spiritual world for them to possibly be shared there, and I believe our memories stay here on earth with our family & friends.

Somebody think that death destroies all of ourself. We completely disappear and our memories too.
Somebody think we go in some kind of other world, heaven or hell, carrying our memories and sins with us.
Somebody think we lost our memory but not our Karma. And the Karma cause our rebirth in this or another world, as human beings, or other kind of creature.
I like to think we don't lost our memories. And in some mysteious way, we'll meet again also our loved ones.

Matter is not destroyed but it does decompose. As the body decomposes so do the proteins in the neurons (I guess it is that) that stores the memories. This idea of a soul is merely our ability to have self awareness as well as an awareness of the world and our memories. All of it is lost when we die. It is a simple fact although one that no one cares to ackowledge

Our personal memories die with us honey, sad but true. They do not go to heaven like so many of the scam artists say. The only thing that returnes to heaven is the holy spirit that gives us life and that does not carry any memories with it. It is all clearly stated in the bible for all to read.

Simple, it's erased. Memory is closely linked to the mind. And if the body is no more there, the mind cannot be which in turn explains what happens to the memories.

I immortalized my memories by getting them inscribed and published in an object called a "book." After I die, you will buy the book. You will read the book. Then you will have a memory of having read my book. Some day you will write a book of your own.

It will always be there in some form or another. I don't think memories just disappear after we die. Even if they aren't carried on by friends, family, colleagues, photos, videos and so on then if you choose to believe they live on through our hearts, our brain, our soul etc.

Do you believe in rebirth? We Hindus do believe in it. it has been found that some people remember things from last life, so people carry memories in next life.
