Maybe for the short term, but in the long run I believe he'll make a comeback. There isn't much these days that can happen that people will remember a few years down the road. Soon this will be just a dim memory. And people will flock to his movies.
I don't think his apologies hold a lot of water. I'll only believe he's sincere if his actions prove it out. Otherwise it's just empty words in an attempt to recover his reputation.

I think Mel Gibson will bounce back and continue to have a fruitful career. Hopefully he gets some serious help though. I still feel that Tom Cruise is way crazier.

He was drunk! People say weird things when they are drunk. In this case, as the studios are run by Jewish people it made headline news, if he'd spoken that way about Arabs, African-Americans, Eskimo, American Indians, it would have been broad-casted as just one of those silly drunkard speech - believe me. All you've got to do is go back and read other Hollyweird drunkard tape-scripts, it's all there, but never publicized.

Unfortuately, Hollywood and the public have short memories. I don't think anyone can "fire" him per se, like what happened w/ Tom Cruise the other day - if that could happen, then maybe the repercussions would be more long term for Mel.

He will be done for on the business side of his career, as the major execs. are HEEBS, But as for his talents and fan base, he'll be just fine. People can't remember anything unless the media brainwashes it deep into their minds anyway.
P.S. Lots of people actually see where he is coming from and agree with his TRUTH.
They ARE to be found at the root of the instablility in the world.

Who cares what you think. He's worth $850 million. Besides you idiot, it is semetic not sementic, and pathetic, not pathentic, hating, not hateing, etc. I love how it's a free country but you're only allowed to say what is popular.

He is a fantastic actor/director, and I won't judge him by his one comment that he said or his DUI. He has done a formal apology which is more than what some stars have done for other things. He is also volunteering to do awareness commercials. I for one, will keep going to see his movies.

Its just so typical of the f**ked up celebrities out there. Yes he is an alchoholic but that doesn't excuse his nasty comments on Jews. He is a stupid old man!

He is done for in Hollywood, that's for sure... and as for his anti-semetic remarks, and trying to appologize to Jews, they'll never forgive him!
