My cousin and her husband are naturists and frequently go to clothing optional beaches and naturist resorts together with their 2 daughters of 7 and 8. Because of being used to wear nothing the two girls are often in the nude at home, even when visits are present, and recently when attending a family reunion the girls spent the afternoon at the swimming pool totally naked in front of everybody, including boys of their own age. What strikes me is that the girls seem to be totally at easy in these situations and not ashamed at all of being seen naked.
Do you think the two girls will be affected in a negative way in the future because of the liberalism of their parents?

they seem to be raised as a nudist family, which is fine. I'm a single father of two girls 10 and 8, and we are all naked at home.
we do pretty much everything in the nude.

I think its great a person can be so at ease with their body, but I think your cousin and husband have gone a little overboard. Go to the naturalists beaches, sure....go nude in your own home...great, but in front of visitors I find a little offputting.
A paedofile does not go around with a sign on his head saying he is one, and there are no distinguishing marks to spot one either, so these children I believe are being put at risk. No-one knows who is looking at them in a peculiar way with sexual intentions. We would like to think it doesnt happen, but you only have to read the newspapers to know it happens far too often. These people also have to consider the affect it may have on other people allowing their children to go around naked in front of everyone. It may upset some people....I know it would do me because of the reasons I have just stated. The boys too could have been embarrassed. It is their choice to live their life how they see fit, but when out in public, they are not the only people who have rights. The bottom line is the girls should not be running around nude in public places, even if it is a family reunion. Statistics show that most sexual assualt on children happen, not by strangers, but by family members and close family freinds.

No, The two girls being rasied as nudists, will just mean in the future the girls will be more comfortable with their body image. Naturists are normal people, and they just are more comfortable with people seeing them naked, as if people like me and you were sen naked in a public place, we would'nt be comfortable, we'd be embarased. I would'nt raise my children to be nudists, because, frankly, I'd be embarrased to have my children naked in front of other adults. Being nude in an enclosed area, like your own house is okay, but nude at parties and family reunions is not okay.

No the girls will be fine. I do feel that it is inappropriate for the parents to allow the girls to be naked in a situation that involves others that do not have the same beliefs.
