Do you think they should have closed down top of the pops what a fantasic show

I agree with some people on here it was good for a long time, after andi peters took over as execuitve producer it just started to become total rubbish

I thought it improved when they turned it live and had those gigs at the end of a show that went on for half an hour.
They could have gone the whole hog and just had bands on it (no cheesy pop rubbish) and put it on a bit later. But then it would start turning into "Later with Jools Holland" and we already have that so it would have been a bit pointless.

Sadly TOTP was behind the times, channels like MTV and VH1 are 24/7 and TOTP was only once a week so by the time the show came it was old news. I used to enjoy watching it but stopped when my music taste grew up as not a lot of what i like was ever on TOTP

I think its a clever move they have essentially revitalised the brand by getting people nostalgic. So now they will probably show best of top of the pops and release a dvd.

I used to watch it then I didn't because it became a bit crappy really didn't it? And I usually had no idea when it was on because the days and times kept changing so I just watched T4 Popword and stuff instead. Funnier and more entertaining. And I knew when it was on.

i loved it..infact i went down to see it..but it got a bit rubbish towards the end...
