It's not to my taste. Black, artificially white skin, heavy black cosmetics, black hair, black nails, it's all a little too morbid looking for me.
But if that's what a person likes, then what do I care? They aren't making me change myself so I'm not going to ask them to. Whatever works as long as the person is happy.
I'm not a prep either, but people don't ever seem to worry about the preppy people. I wonder why it's only certain styles that draw attention while others don't.

I think its all about hiding behind an image just because it's what everyone else around you is doing. Are you really so afraid of being yourself that you have to take on this image? Some do it just because their friends do, others think it makes others afraid of them or thay are into the whole whichcraft/devil thing.

How soon the time will come when you will look back and say "what the He11 was I thinking? I know I have looked at some of the things I used to wear and thought the same. Just don't get completely caught up in it. How many adults do you see wearing it? Not too many. and those that do are usually living in run-down trailers and driving beat-up cars to get to the only 6 dollar per-hour job that will hire someone that looks like that. But hey, someone has to support the trailer parks of America right?

Well...I don't know if you are a goth yourself but though I don't wear goth...I like looking at it and putting it on paper with a pencil...get it? I'm an artist and goth is a something I like visually.
But I prefer "Gothic Lolita" from Japan...the only kind of goth I like.
If you want to check it out you could type in "Gothic Lolita Bible" and google it.

honestly? I hate it. Not so much the style but the attitude behind it....I think it is for people who don't have the courage to achieve in the world around them so they make up a fantasy world in which they have status. I don't know why it just gets to me. But then again, my friends say I date a lot of 'vampire chicks' so who knows? I guess the style is fine, but the lifestyle behind the style is ridiculous. Obviously this is just my opinion please don't drag me to an industrial club for punishment or anything!

It's strange in it's uniquness. Other people taunt it, then copy it, and others "embrace it", if you will. It's weird. Also, there are varying degrees, i guess. So if someone wears black all the time, black makeup, is "depressed" and so on (you get the idea), they would be a higher degree. Personally, I think it's cool, but not really my thing. Some people I know are reallllllly into it, though.

It's always been a style I've liked though I don't really dress that way anymore myself.
