Yes, I do!

I injured myself on the job, and have seven ruptured discs in my lower back, torn tendons in both shoulders, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in both wrists.

I had multiple surgeries, and unbelievable residual pain down the left leg, in both shoulders, and in both wrists.

Before Propostion 215 passed in California making cannabis legal for medicinal use, my physicians had me on huge doses of morphine for the acute chronic intractable pain, and they had me so doped up I was like a Zombie.

I went to Hawaii for a two week vacation, and only remember one thing about the vacation, a single diving expedition.

When Prop 215 passed, I had my physician admit me to a detox ward to get off the morphine [horrible withdrawal symptoms, by the way], and told him that I was going to smoke cannabis instead.

Just as a point of information, the hospital whose detox ward I checked into gave me a room IN the detox ward where I could go to smoke my cannabis while going through the withdrawal from the Morphine.

I've been using the cannabis quite successfully now for the past five years. One thing I've found after using a wide variety of different analgesics, pain medications, narcotics, meditation, yoga, bio-feedback techniques, and self-hypnosis is this - none of them actually make the pain go away completely - they just make it so you don't mind as much. At least with cannabis I still have some quality of life left.

I only smoked it once or twice since I finished college more than 30 years ago. I think it can probably help some people who use it to overcome their nautiousness during chemo. Other than that I can't think of a single positive reason for a mature adult to continue smoking it. Fourty and fifty year olds trying to be cool! Ha ha ha! Ridiculous.

Congratualtions and I hope you get a clear head soon. Hugs!

I love weed. There is nothing wrong with it. It's natural it comes from seeds. Now I am not going to tell you that you are stupid for stopping because thats your life your business, just as some should not judge people who do it. I never understood those who bash weed, but at the same time are popping pills.

Umteen years ago...so proud of myself for not having that altered state feeling anymore. Though I think for many people that are fighting a serious disease....it's still much better for a person to go with the nuture herbs than all the crap that the AMA are chemically making and say "Here..this won't cure you so take it anyway"...that stuff'll eventually kill yha! Go Mother Nature !!

Sharin' my smiles...

I never have but, most of my friends back in school did.
It never bugged me any. Hell, we had more fun when they were stoned. Street skateboard luge, other stupid stunts, many rather clever pranks. The best was laying in wait for the pizza-guy.
Super soaker ambush from the bushes. I still have that poor guy's hat. I'm lucky to have survived as long as I have.
