I got a im on my yahoo from some guys I have never heard of and one of them had a profile so I opened it and the guy was starkers. How did they get my e mail. I was asked if I wanted them on my contact list. Theanswer was obviously No...but how did they get my name and im?

Think your profile is probably on public display mode or something. Go into your yahoo account details and you should be able to change it.
Also, maybe report this guy to Yahoo as he may end up sending his details to someone under age and could frighten them.

Because when the Yahoo Answer users click on your name to get your profile, it says "Contact________ That means wheb you made your profile you forgot to take the check out of the box. It's simple to change, go to your Q&A, click on edit my info, Uncheck the box under communications where it asks if you want people to contact you through e-mail. But be careful, make sure the other box is unchecked so no one can IM you. good luck

I got the same from Dolland and Aitchison for an eye test and the connection was Nectar.
Run a trace on it using your net barrier and that will give you the originating source. When you have got that you have sufficient evidence to sue or call in the Bill if you want to.
I wouldn't. I'd tell their mum.

there could be very simple answers to that...A friend could have given them.....have u sent emails (fowarded emails to people) who in turn may just send it as a forwad also to other people they know (long cycle!!!) and eventually the guys see it and your address is there as the very first person to send that email......get it???
